Assorted List from the Backissues
C.Gibbs

first record you remember
„Saturday Night Fever“. My mum was in love with John Travolta and The Bee Gees and dragged us to the movie 14 times.

a song that reminds you of school

Pink Floyd – Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2); Alice Cooper – School’s Out. I never did like school that much o wasnt so hot for teachers. Close tie.

a record you fell in love to
Tom Waits - Coney Island Baby; from the „Blood Money“ album. That was our song since me and my girl fell in lovee in Coney Island. We played it in Vegas as we walked down the isle.

your ultimate heartbreak song

Elliott Smith - Waltz # 3. I drank myself silly while listening to it on repeat in my car on a hill in Silver Lake after being dumped.

a record that evokes the greatest summer of your life

The Cure – Standing On A Beach / Staring At The Sea. I would listen to that record after surfing on the long drive home.

first record you bought
Prince - Little Red Corvette. The song was great but the picture of him inside with his black underwear was a little disconcerting for a 14 year old kid.

your boozedup anthem
The Morning Glories - Fully Loaded. This would be the obvious anthem for me. It’s pretty much a nod/glorification to getting fucked up. "Here I Am" from my pet project Lucinda Black Bear is not an anthem but addresses the opposite side of the spectrum so to speak.

your liberation anthem
The Smiths - Headmaster's Ritual
a song you wish you wrote yourself
Anything by Elliott Smith. He is the one songwriter that made me question whether my chosen vocation was the right one for me.

record it took you the longest time to find

I'm not the biggest collector of LP's. But I have been looking for my vinyl of This Mortal Coil and still haven't found it yet!
song that reminds your friends of you
That’s a hard one. Maybe people have mentioned Neil Young a few times – for the turnstiles.

first video clip you ever saw
It’s between A Flock Of Seagulls’ "And I Ran" or Modern English's "Melt With You". Funny thing is I ended up playing with Modern English and we did a show with A Flock Of Seagulls in Florida somewhere.

a song you would use as a ring-tone (if forced)
Bill Conti - The Theme From Rocky (Gonna Fly Now); TLC – Scrubs
a song guaranteed to make you feel depressed
Porter Wagoner - The Agony Of Waiting, or anything by Joy Division and Nick Drake.

best Beatles Song
„Something". Ol' George always got the short end of the stick and he wrote some of the best songs.

the perfect anthem for San Diego
Tom Waits - Filipino Box Spring Hog. Not many people know this but Tom is from San Diego too and this sounds like a San Diego song to me.

the song to be played at your funeral
Tom Waits - Hang Down Your Head
