Beautiful Swimmers
is a production/DJ duo from Washington D.C. Andrew Field-Pickering (Maxmillion Dunbar) and Ari Goldman are the flagship crew of the synth-wave Future Times label, and have rapidly gathered a cult following of vinyl obsessives and club hustlers alike with their leftfield boogie collage and spatial balearica.

A: Must admit I'm more of an '83 guy (year I was born) for all that sleazy boogie funk. 1982 for me is still ripped jeans tunes like «Eminence Front».

A: That will be rough as I have a tendency to fall asleep rather easily. Honestly, comedy albums keep me up the best. David Cross or Katt Williams might do the trick.
M: Usually I am not trying to hear shit when I come home from the club. Buuuuut maybe some «Moments In Love»? If I'm driving home in the early AM it's garaunteed to be on the radio around here!
A: You gotta keep it chill. Often absolutely nothing is just fine for me. Maybe the morning news? Hahaha.

A: I usually like a DJ that plays a wide selection of tunes. Gotta keep it fresh. But nothing is better than hearing «Good Life» when you are partying with your buddies!

A: Fleetwood Mac for sure! Been feeling the «Tango In The Night» LP recently.
M: Hmmmmmm. «No Rain», or Alice Coltrane's version of «A Love Supreme».
A: This seems like a very alternative rock moment. «No Rain» would be tight.
M: To prepare for a real important date I'm gonna shower and listen to «Diamonds & Wood».

A: Ever since I heard Manuel Gottsching recorded «E2-E4» to listen to on an upcoming flight, I agree it is perfect plane music. But I rarely listen to music when flying.
M: I'm just gonna go ahead and hope Home Alone is on TV or something.
A: Swimmers once stayed in a very scary place in Amsterdam but I don't recall any music that night. In terms of scary tunes though the screwed and chopped version of David Banner «Might Getcha» is always rather terrifying.
M: A million songs via iPhone youtube cuz I'll be bored as shit.

M: I'm gonna listen to a bunch of 30 second clips on Rush Hour almost guaranteed, and then probably watch the Lo-Life's documentary trailer, and then from there I'll probably pull up Fat Joe & Big Pun «Twinz 98» and then skip the Fat Joe part in favor of John Beltran or something. YOU SEE?

M: Cuz I'm just gonna decide to be cheesy like that. Rain also means that drum-and-bass-press-photo style-parka-and-baseball-hat image pops in my mind, so I get images of «Inner City Life» or something too. Maybe that Zomby «Natalia's Song» to bring shit up to date.
