doesn’t fit with the image of the typical whiny singersongwriter lamenting about broken hearts and shattered dreams. The Southwales-raised singer writes songs that can’t be beat with their life affirmation and joyfulness. Pop music you’d like to dance naked in the rain to.
I remember that me and a friend both saw the video on «The Big Breakfast» (a morning TV show) and when we got into school we both were like "oh my god I head this great song this morning!!"
Both incredible in very different ways.
If either of these come on when I've had a few drinks I'm unstoppable!
I'm still looking...
A Beatles compilation that my parents used to play in the car when we drove around in summer holidays. It was annoying though as I could never find my favourite songs in the collection at home!
I'd just moved to London in my summer holidays at university to work at a record label, met some great new people from all over the world, the sun was shining every day and life was absolutely brilliant.
But then «Spirals» by Adem is so beautiful that it kind of breaks my heart too.
I think people focus too much on bad things that happen. I know it sounds quite naive but I think it's an amazing place and although it costs a lot to rent in the city, I'm amazed week by week by things I discover all the time. I love it.
It just always sounds so great in a club, and when people hear the first few seconds they go wild.
I still love it!!
Featuring Beth Hirsch. It's so simply but perfectly written.
