Interpol
are one of the most popular bands associated with the New York indie music scene, emerging out of the post-punk revival of the early 2000s and being charged guilty of copying bands like Joy Division or My Bloody Valentine. Their debut «Turn On The Bright Lights» in 2002 made it into the top ten of NME’s list of best albums as well as charting at No.1 on Pitchfork’s Top 50 albums of 2002.
