I don’t know who it is by, but it really helped me progress my fascination with vampires (because I am romanian, I feel like it is my heritage) and doing the twist. Bloodsports and 60’s dancing together really can’t be beat.

I like showers better then baths, and singing in the shower is one of my favorite past times. I have a million standards that I sing. I am going to have to say «Mr.Big Stuff». This song is a little less cheesy then singing «You Make Me Feel Like A Natural Woman» by Aretha Franklin but it’s got the same shower empowerment vibe. Soul was made to me sung in the shower.
I dunno, but Sparklehorse tends to fill the musical void for all the tender moments in your life that need a soundtrack. I love this band so much it makes me sad.
This song has the best guitar hook and it is so poppy but the lyrics are so dark. The beat is damn good for bike riding as long as it is a banana bike and you are rolling around pretty leisurely.
I love some strong female vocalists, and I am really domesticated, although I have a fear of candles (like Frankenstein). I love to prepare a nice romantic dinner for my boy (he better like omelettes though, cause that is pretty much all I can make).

I don’t think I have ever been on a real important date but if I did go on one I would need a standard favorite like «96 Tears». It’s fun to dance around your room to, which in turn makes you feel amazing, which in turn will make you feel confident for your important date.
Nina Simone (who I have the pleasure of sharing the same birthday with) is the catalyst for any emotion. She is hands down my favorite woman to listen to. When I get depressed I like to wallow in it for a little bit, so I would say «Wild Is the Wind».

Being from NYC I don’t drive, but I totally just got my learner’s permit, which means I am definitely willing to learn. You either got to keep it awake and rockin’ with songs about big girls that you can sing along to like «Whole Lotta Rosie» or «Riff Raff» or else to keep the vibe mellow and go for «Exit Music (For a Film)» by Radiohead.
To fall asleep I need instrumental music, vocals distract me.
I made this question into parts: 1. «to make love to» I would have to say Otis Redding’s «Open The Door» cause his voice warbles enough to make a virgin bride feel creamy. 2. I added «to have sex to», and that would have to be something by Motörhead or Peaches, cause the beats are real nice, and it’s fun to have a rhythm to march to.
I don’t think I would ever willingly jump out of an airplane, but in the scenario that I would have to, I think the music would have to be pretty epic. If Cheap Trick don’t do it for you, then you might as well go without a parachute, cause you are fucked anyways.
I hate planes, so I try and detach myself from the situation as much as possible, one of my favorite bands and one of my favorite songs, the Zombies’ version of «Summertime» helps me get out of my head.
There were two alternatives for this answer, you could either go with the ghosts and exploit the situation by playing some creepy music to go along with their whole theme, or (which is what I would do) you would blast those ghosts away and have a 90’s hiphop dance party and play «Whoomp! There It Is» by Tag Team.
I can’t take the subway anymore. For the past 3 years I have gotten panic attacks at the thought of it. But I used to take it 6 times a day and in honor of that, a bit of 60’s soul is good. My favorite thing to do was to play the air piano on the pole, so let’s say «Oogum Boogum».

Reminds me of my mom. I first heard it when I was in London recording. Supremely depressed it was my mom’s first birthday since she had past away. I had downloaded a bunch of random music that I loaded into my iPod right before I left. I was crying, and this song came on out of nowhere, it totally saved me at the time because it was 100% a sign, but now it just makes me sad.
When I was 15 I listened to «The Bends». But the guy commited suicide, so it sort of ruined it. «Pet Sounds»: We lived together for two years. I am just starting to be able to listen to this record again without feeling melancholy. «Don’t Talk» will be the song I get married to. Sean Lennon does a fucking amazing version of it as well.
Motherfuck, I loved this record, it reminds me of my dad. I hated the cover, it scared the shit out of me. Also Pink Floyd’s «The Wall». I would be 5 years old running around my house yelling «WE DON'T NEED NO EDUCATION!». Also: The Beatles’ «Sgt. Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band» and The Doors’ «Strange Days».

I heard «Blue Moon» for the first time in the movie «Mystery Train», which has also an amazing soundtrack. His voice is so haunting. Or else «Changes». It reminds me of my mom. Losing your lady... that song is magical.
This song has made me horny since I was 16. And when I put it on it is like the pumpkin pie of songs, it brings me back to that moment, I know what it is like. It is lusty and longing and I want to be that girl that Iggy is singing about.
I don’t remember but I am sure it was Debbie Gibson or Paula Abdul or something utterly amazing like that. I still think those women are brilliant. Debbie wrote all her own stuff and she was 16!!
