Ost & Kjex
is a cheese-sampling, falsetto singing, blues house duo from Oslo. Petter Haavik and Tore Gjedrem have released a multitude of EPs and remixes on labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Modular, Punkt, Dialect and now an album on Diynamic Music. Don’t take their music too serious, but dance to it!
Still Shangaan baby.
Love bubble baths and that song. It's Ost's signature song when he does un-techno DJ sets.
Their «Iaora Tahiti» album has such a positive vibe and is also filled with so much detail. Like a chaotic candy store. Ride a bike and listen to electronic music, the world becomes another place.
When these guys turned up it was like a small revolution. You think you have music sorted out, then... Wow!
Any track. It's probably a cliché, but anything she ever touched is just pure gold in our ears.
Oh my GOD!!! Shangaan is the freshest music I've heard in ages. This is the Cheese and Biscuit summer sound track.
Nobody denies that food has life.
This song was popular when we were young. Was kind of afraid of it, but loved it still the same. The beautiful hills in the video makes us thinking about running naked in nature.
Praying for a real wiener.
If we really don't like them.
The album «Advance» is the perfect soundtrack for riding a car. It's so forward in a way.
We actually used to fall asleep to this when we were younger. Could listen to it anytime. Still can.
«Take me to your heart, time after time I try to contact you, time after time I try to talk to you, but you don't take me to your heart. When I'm alone I think you're near me, it's good to pretend that you're with me. Why don't you take me to your heart?»
And again and again...
Need some energy and this is hungry.
Not really my favorite Christian Death song, but the title matches. It's such a weird band, with Valor on vocals. One of them did some good records back in the days. We had a goth period in our teens.
Just had to fit a song by the good doctor in here. His three first albums are major soundtracks to our lives.
I read in an interview long ago that they locked themselves into a room for god knows how many hours and undertook something they called a sonic endurance test. With this low frequency bass hum going constantly. Go to Finland everybody. They are cool!!
What a sexy song, never get tired of it. Also sounds great.
Cornelius is a much loved deceased Swedish/Dutch singer/songwriter that makes up the musical DNA of many Scandinavians. His songs always make us feel warm and safe.
His new album «Silence» is one of his finest in a long time. A piece of sound art and great for subway rides.
Just remember to start with the right foot.
«I saw you and him walking in the rain, you were holding hands and I will never feel the same...»
