Efterklang
is probably the best band that ever emerged from Denmark. Their orchestral pop miraculously comes alive when played infront of an audience. No wonder, critics tend to claim the nine-piece-outfit the greatest live band on earth.

In my teenage years when I was living in the country side of Denmark, I was playing this song 100’000 times and dreaming of living in Copenhagen.

During the summer 2002 I was listening a lot to «Writers Without Homes» and «Finally We Are No One». That summer Mads, Rasmus & I had our very first trip to St. Petersburg. It evokes so many good memories!
I’m melting every time I hear this. A couple of days back I took the public bus around midnight and the driver was playing this song real loud. All passengers were just sitting speechless and smiling while floating through the darkness; such a nice moment.
As far as I remember, it was «Nevermind» on cassette tape. I just saw the other day the remake of the cover photo, with the baby that has now grown up to a 17 year old teenager. Time passes so fast...
At the moment it might be Screamin' Jay Hawkins and his amazing song «I Put A Spell On You». Everyone should hear that song!
