Loane
is a singer and pianist from Paris. She debuted in 2008 with the album «Jamais seule». Inspired by the likes of Etienne Daho or Françoise Hardy Loane represents the «nouvelle chanson». Her songs don't have a retro-vibe but rely on synthesizers and drum machines with fragile melodies, charme and always a hint of melancholy.
Off the album «Different Light» (1986). A friend from Cleveland gave to my brother this album, unknown in France yet. Two of my favorites were «If She Knew What She Wants» and «Manic Monday».
RJD2 in 2003 at Le Nouveau Casino (Paris). He just released his album few months ago in France. He was all alone on stage with two turntables, he made all people dance, the music was so good. After the gig few people asked him for an autograph when he came back on stage to store his equipement. He was really friendly. Then I came to him like a child, he drawed a heart on my ticket which made me feel happy as if I was 8 receving the best toy ever!

I was around 10, I was dancing with a boy I liked very much along to «Hotel California» by The Eagles. That song makes me remember this moment when I felt my heart beating so much. But after the party, I went back home with my mother and never saw him again!
Rare Bird, the album «Somebody's Watching» (1973). I used to listen and listen again. «Hard Time», I loved so much this song, I remember the cover, a strong picture in my memories, the dark side of the black bird flying in a blue sky.
The greatest summer is always the last one! This summer, I used to listen a lot to Phantogram’s album «Eyelid Movies» or Passion Pit’s album «Chunk Of Change»
