is a psychedlic/ambient rock band from Bloomington, Indiana. Coincidentally one of the best indie labels of today, Jagjaguwar Records, is situated in the city of barely 70'000 souls. Since 2005 the group around singer and songwriter Michael Tapscott is releasing their output on said label – even after the band relocated to Chicago.
«The Blue Depths» wa released in 2009 on Jagjaguwar.
High school, man those were the days.
I haven’t really been here long enough to make song associations. But let’s say «Conversational».
Depressing songs make me happy, like «No One’s Gonna Love You More Than I Do». Because I think that’s what Isaac, my Odawas partner, wants me to do.
I loved the theatrical stuff from the very beginning. I also liked that my mom was cool with me running around the house singing the parts of songs with swear words. «Master of the house/ isn’t worth my shit!»
Summer of 2000, thousands of musical discoveries, magical nights spent with a stereo, cigarettes, long necks and a rotating cast of women. It’s never been like that since. I'm not even sure how it was then.
Oh, the times at All Ears Records in Bloomington, Indiana.
I should use one because I never answer my phone. It’s always on silence.
I’ve basically just been trying to rewrite it.
