Dinky
is a long standing resident at Panorama Bar. Her warm, technical house sound, underpinned by intricate rhythmic and harmonic elements is a much loved staple of the scene. The Chilean born Dinky was first a trained dancer before she moved to New York and then Berlin.

Jeffrey Eugenides: «Midlesex». A story of a real hermaprhodite that grew up in Detroit and then moved to Berlin... very interesting. / Isabel Allende: «La Casa De Los Espiritus». My fave Chilean writer. This specific book is so good that it was turned into a movie. It reminds me of Chile where a lot of magic things happen... / Gabriel Garcia Marquez: «News Of A Kidnapping». This one is about the kidnappings for political reasons in Columbia. Very touching – made me cry non stop. / Pablo Neruda: «Confieso Que He Vivido». Another Chilean writer and Nobel Price winner. Incredible poems and beautiful stories. / Laura Esquivel: «Como Agua Para Chocolate». Delicious book about food and it’s pleasures. Very romantic and sexy.
Candy Candy. That’s a popluar Japanese cartoon from the 80s. Nice stories for little girls and boys / Emily the Strange. Since I’m a bit strange too I can relate to her. / Chococat. I wanna eat him everytime I see him. / Spiderman. I wish I could fly like him. / Homer Simpson. He reminds me of my dad.
Berlin. I’m so lucky to live here. / Buenos Aires. It’s artistic and cheap, there is always good weather, beautiful people and good clubs. A paradise that is just too far... / Rio De Janeiro. The beach and the city! / London. Shopping and clubing makes really sense here. / Ibiza. The island of pleasure and pain.
Panorama Bar in Berlin. It’s like my lab. Here I can experiment and play anything I want. It has the best crowd ever. / Circo Loco at dc10 in Ibiza. I closed the terrace for the closing this year with Luciano. I was so nervous. This is a proper crazy club and the best experience for any DJ. / Kama Kama in Via Reggio. Also run by Italians. The energy here is massive, great sound system and they have a special choir. When they like the music they sing «Kamakamakamakama eh ehe eh». Hilarious! Thousand people singing on top of the music! / Contatto in Bologna. Not long ago I played there and it was such a surprise. It’s my favourite Italian club right now, one of the only after hour clubs left in this country. Massive, crazy and free! / Cocoon in Frankfurt. Amazing sound and design, great customes and dancers. My favorite ist the puddle custom on a man. The Cocoon got the best DJ booth I ever played in – specially designed for Mr. Vaeth.

Sound on Sound. I’m a junkie for studio and prodcution techniques. / Keyboards / Id / Vogue. I like the American and the English one. Very good reference for fashion. / de:bug. Best German magazine for electronic music. They are really up to date and unlike the other mags in Germany they change subjects instead of featuring the same people all the time. / Vice. It’s always a laugh.
Having to leave New York because of my visa in 2003 / Living 5 minutes away from Groun Zero in 2001 / Ruining my whole record bag in the Domenican Repuplic due to a corrosive agent (1999) / A marriage that lasted 3 months / Car broke on the way to my first dance performance when i was 10 years old, got there late and forgot half of the choreography – I sucked.
Best ambient album for me. Just a few sounds and effects but the best athmosphere you can get.
I love the sexyness and minimalism of this band and love the fact that it is formed only by sisters and family members.
Second best ambient album after Brian Eno. I miss people doing music like this these days.
